  4. To eliminate those pesky blackheads, just rub some lemon juice on the area where they are found every night then wash off with cool water the morning after. Continue doing so until the blackheads disappear.
  5. As an exfoliant, you need to cut the lemon and dip it into a half teaspoon of sugar. Then, rub it over your face for a few minutes. You also have the option to make a mixture of lemon juice, sugar and some few drops of water. Perform this ritual once every week and see how it removes your dead skin cells and refreshes it overall.
  6. For age spots, simply apply the lemon right to the area prior going to bed and rinse with cool water the morning after. Give it two weeks and you’ll see some noticeable cleansing and lightening color effects. For an overall body treatment, add a half cup of lemon juice that’s freshly squeezed to your bathtub then soak for a duration of twenty minutes.
  7. To create a mask that fights off wrinkles, mix a few lemon drops, one drop of sweet almond oil and one teaspoon of honey. Spread this evenly on your face and leave it for twenty minutes before rinsing off.

If you have sensitive skin that easily gets irritated with the lemon’s citric acid, just mix this it with water then apply on your face with a cotton ball. Avoid applying lemon juice if you’re going outdoors or under the sun as it can make your skin all the more sensitive.

Spread a very thin layer of milk over your face.
Massage your face with upward strokes until the milk is fully absorbed by your skin.
Rinse using a mild facial wash the morning after.
Pat dry with a soft towel.

Rice and Sesame Scrub

This is a really easy-to-do home remedy scrub that produces an instant wonderful glow. The sesame does wonders for both skin nourishment and moisturizing while the rice grains work great for exfoliation. You can use it to polish both face and body.

Soak equal parts of sesame and rice overnight.
Grind it into a scrub of fine consistency the morning after.
Spread all over your face and body evenly and leave it on for about one to two minutes.
Rinse with cool water.

4. Facial Oils

During the winter season, it’s good to use Ayurvedic facial oils as this works great in nourishing your skin. If you have normal skin, leave it on your body for one hour then wash off by scrubbing gently. For dry skin, you can leave it on your skin all night then wash off with a gentle scrub the morning after and see your skin glow.

You can also put some facial spritz before you retreat for the night and then upon waking up, rinse it with cold water employing a mild cleanser that doesn’t contain any SLS or parabens. For clear skin that’s visible, you can spray on the face mist.
