Seven Skincare Tips Using Lemons

While Prodermagenix reviews have clearly demonstrated how the serum works as an anti-aging skin care system, it’s still worthwhile to go back to nature and take a look at how it can help us achieve young-looking skin.

This article’s focus is on the health giving goodness of the lemon fruit which extends beyond giving nutrients to your body. When it comes to anti-aging skin care, lemon can work wonders. Here are some ways on how to incorporate this amazing fruit into your beauty ritual:

  1. The next time you drink lemon juice, you might want to make an extra glass to use for brightening and softening your skin. Just use it on any body part you want to work on. It’s also good to include your elbows, knees and of course, your face.
  2. To moisturize dry skin, you can make your own mask by combining equal amounts of lemon, honey and olive oil. Apply to where your skin is dry and leave it for a duration of ten minutes. Wash off with warm water thereafter.
  3. If you have oily skin, mix two tablespoons of lemon juice, two tablespoons of vodka, one tablespoon of distilled water and one teaspoon of witch hazel. After which, spread the solution on your skin using cotton balls then wash off with water that’s cool. Storing it in the fridge would give it a one-week shelf life.
  4. To eliminate those pesky blackheads, just rub some lemon juice on the area where they are found every night then wash off with cool water the morning after. Continue doing so until the blackheads disappear.
  5. As an exfoliant, you need to cut the lemon and dip it into a half teaspoon of sugar. Then, rub it over your face for a few minutes. You also have the option to make a mixture of lemon juice, sugar and some few drops of water. Perform this ritual once every week and see how it removes your dead skin cells and refreshes it overall.
  6. For age spots, simply apply the lemon right to the area prior going to bed and rinse with cool water the morning after. Give it two weeks and you’ll see some noticeable cleansing and lightening color effects. For an overall body treatment, add a half cup of lemon juice that’s freshly squeezed to your bathtub then soak for a duration of twenty minutes.
  7. To create a mask that fights off wrinkles, mix a few lemon drops, one drop of sweet almond oil and one teaspoon of honey. Spread this evenly on your face and leave it for twenty minutes before rinsing off.

If you have sensitive skin that easily gets irritated with the lemon’s citric acid, just mix this it with water then apply on your face with a cotton ball. Avoid applying lemon juice if you’re going outdoors or under the sun as it can make your skin all the more sensitive.

How to Make Your Skin Glow Overnight

prodermagenix girl

It’s every girl’s desire to have skin that’s young and glowing. The keys to achieving such are exercise, good diet, CTM routine, getting enough sleep and using the right cream for rejuvenation.

Given our daily routine these days though, it’s just not possible to do everything perfectly; hence, as an alternative, here are some simple but proven effective naturally glowing skin methods that you can easily do.

Milk

Milk is definitely the best complete food. It’s good, not just for your health, but for your skin as well. It helps clear dark facial spots and nourishes your skin while you have your beauty sleep. Get that glowing skin in four quick steps:

Spread a very thin layer of milk over your face.
Massage your face with upward strokes until the milk is fully absorbed by your skin.
Rinse using a mild facial wash the morning after.
Pat dry with a soft towel.

Rice and Sesame Scrub

This is a really easy-to-do home remedy scrub that produces an instant wonderful glow. The sesame does wonders for both skin nourishment and moisturizing while the rice grains work great for exfoliation. You can use it to polish both face and body.

Soak equal parts of sesame and rice overnight.
Grind it into a scrub of fine consistency the morning after.
Spread all over your face and body evenly and leave it on for about one to two minutes.
Rinse with cool water.

Sleeping Packs

When you sleep, it’s just not your body that needs to rest. Your skin needs nourishment as well and you can do this with sleeping packs.

Wash your face with cold water and a mild facial wash.
Remove your make-up then pat dry with a soft towel.
Take a little less than a teaspoon of the sleeping pack. Massage this onto to your skin in upward strokes. Note that sleeping packs are easy for the skin to absorb, so you won’t feel greasy after.
Upon waking up, clean your face with a mild cleanser then wash with cold water.

4. Facial Oils

During the winter season, it’s good to use Ayurvedic facial oils as this works great in nourishing your skin. If you have normal skin, leave it on your body for one hour then wash off by scrubbing gently. For dry skin, you can leave it on your skin all night then wash off with a gentle scrub the morning after and see your skin glow.

You can also put some facial spritz before you retreat for the night and then upon waking up, rinse it with cold water employing a mild cleanser that doesn’t contain any SLS or parabens. For clear skin that’s visible, you can spray on the face mist.

Honey

Honey is sweet both literally and figuratively speaking. Apart from its sweet flavor, it’s a lot sweeter that you can use it as a scrubber and moisturizer to your body as well.

  • Clean your skin with a mild exfoliant then pat dry.
  • Take out your make-up.
  • Apply a honey pack and leave it on skin for a minimum of fifteen minutes.
  • Once it dries, wet the pack again with little water then scrub slowly on your face while massaging it for two minutes.
  • Wash off with cold water then pat dry. Spread a thin layer of rejuvenating cream.
  • Wash your face with a mild exfoliant the morning after.

Causes of Oily Skin and How to Prevent It

Oily-SkinIt’s nice to shine in the spotlight but not when you’re shining because of your oily skin. To combat such a bothersome, and often times, embarrassing condition, it’s best to know why this happens in the first place.

Causes of Oily Skin

While you may blame the greasy food you eat for our oily skin, science says the right culprit to blame is actually your genes. All diet can do is aggravate acne. The main cause for oily skin is actually heredity. You can change all your diet and total lifestyle if you want, but if your parents have oily skin, the fact still remains that you have oily skin too. If however, your oily skin comes and goes, the factor behind it lies more on hormonal body changes.
